The ‘We Care’ concerts have been a beacon of hope and entertainment, widely known for its charity. Over the years, the concert has raised funds for important social causes, contributing to remarkable performances and timeless songs like ‘Oh Kidangmunger,’ ‘Tzürabur Maliba Tanur,’ and ‘Kenü bo ni asütsü.’ The concerts over the years have supported initiatives ranging from aiding landslide victims to funding Mokokchung Law College. ‘We Care’ has consistently been about doing something better for society.

Now in its fifth edition, the ‘We Care’ charity concert is set to captivate the audience once again, but this time with a different noble mission. The event is dedicated to launching a free coaching corpus fund for class 10 and 12 students. On the evening of December 12, the Imkongmeren Sports Complex will resonate with the harmonious sounds of some of the region’s top local bands and artists as they take the stage to make a difference.

AKM President Lanutoshi Aier, in a conversation with Mokokchung Times, revealed the inspiration behind this significant initiative. He stated, “Since 1997, AKM has been providing free coaching classes for class 10 students. Generous free-will donors and individuals who wish to contribute have sponsored it for many years. However, sustaining it solely on donations is no longer feasible.

Thus, we aim to establish a permanent corpus fund for coaching, ensuring its continued operation. Additionally, we aspire to extend these coaching classes to class 12 students.”

Aier passionately expressed his hope that every household in the community would join hands to support this cause. The tickets for the concert are affordably priced at Rs 300, and the event will also feature a raffle draw, adding an exciting element to the evening. Aier emphasized, “Given that most beneficiaries of our free coaching classes come from underprivileged households, we have faith that the people of Mokokchung will rally behind this noble cause.”

The benefits of this initiative are expected to be far-reaching. The coaching classes have the potential to uplift numerous students in Mokokchung district, transcending ethnic boundaries. Aier pointed out that these free classes have always been open to students from all tribes residing in Mokokchung.

Aier also highlighted the positive impact the concert can have on the local music scene. While the list of artists for the concert is not finalized, he said, talents like Tiameren Aier, Lenen Jamir, and the renowned Dreamz Unlimited are some confirmed guests.

Aier also made an to all households to contribute to this event, emphasizing the potential for positive societal transformation. ‘We Care V’ is not just a musical event; it’s a harmonious blend of compassion and education, a testament to the power of music to inspire positive change in society.
