The theme speaker for the occasion was Rev Ngangnen Longkumer, Pastor of WTABC, who took the opportunity to reflect on the challenges faced by ALKAT during its formation. Despite encountering numerous obstacles, Rev Longkumer highlighted the abundant blessings that accompanied the association’s journey.

Encouraging attendees to reminisce about the past 25 years, Rev Longkumer urged them to recognize their collective achievements as blessings. Emphasizing the event’s theme, “Brighten the corner where you are,” he underscored the responsibility of dispelling darkness in their surroundings through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Rev Longkumer drew attention to the prevalence of darkness in society, stressing the need for individuals to take responsibility for illuminating their communities. He addressed the presence of both older and younger generations still dwelling in darkness, engaging in harmful behaviours without realizing the consequences.

Reminding the audience that the true light is found in Lord Jesus Christ, Rev Longkumer cautioned that those not aligned with Christ would suffer in the metaphorical dark place. Drawing a parallel with the sun brightening the earth, he urged everyone to unite in God, carrying the light to brighten the darkness wherever they may be.

The program also featured the launch and dedicatory prayer for the Jubilee Souvenir by Rev Abemo Jungio, Pastor of WTBC. Chaired by Yupangla Shitiri, the event included an invocation by Lolenla Kikon, a welcome address by Abenla Ezung, exhortation by Y Ben Lotha, and a benediction by Lucy Yanthan.
