Mokokchung, 18 November (MTNews): In the recently conducted KIO All India Inter Zonal Karate Championship held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on 17 November, two players from the All Nagaland Karate-Do Association clinched two medals—a silver and a bronze.
The two Nagaland players, Akumienla L Imchen and Huto K Yeptho, represented North-east India in the Championship. Akumienla L Imchen of the 15 NAP (IRB) Battalion won the silver medal in Senior (female)-68 kg Individual Sparring, while Huto K Yeptho, a student of Logdrum Higher Secondary School, Sangtamtilla, Dimapur, secured the bronze medal in Junior (male)-76 kg Individual Sparring.
