Along Arai (Khenglubo Newmai) and navigator Vignesh Mahalingam of the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) secured first position in the Amateur CL2 Class of the Adventure TSD category at the sixth edition of the JK Tyre Rally of the Himalayas 2026, AMAM said in a press release issued on October 1.
The rally commenced on September 26 in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, and concluded on September 30 at Padum in Zanskar, Ladakh. According to AMAM, the route passed through the Spiti and Lahaul valleys before entering Zanskar via Shinkhula Pass, with sections featuring snow, mud and tarmac.
“Representing the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM), the duo delivered a strong performance in one of Asia’s most demanding rallies, navigating challenging
terrain and rapidly changing road conditions across Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh,” AMAM stated.
More than 144 cars and motorcycles from across the country participated in the rally across the Extreme, Moto and TSD categories.
The sixth edition of the JK Tyre Rally of the Himalayas was organised by Himalayan X-Treme Motorsports.
