Lumami, 13 October (MTNews): The ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ program was organized at Nagaland University Headquarters in Lumami today under the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign launched by the Ministry of Education. Mayur Phukan, Assistant Professor in the Forestry Department, served as the coordinator. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students participated in this program.

 

The Ministry of Education aimed to convey the message of respecting our soil, freedom fighters, and farmers through this program. Many people took part in the Amrit Kalash Yatra held at Nagaland University, which began at the university’s main gate and concluded at the Department of Environmental Science.

At the start of the Yatra, Prof Mithilesh Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor in-charge, administered the oath of five promises to everyone. Prof Bendang Ao, Prof Ashutosh Tripathi, Dr Pranay Punj Pankaj, Dr Arjun Das, Dr Kuldeep Singh, Dr Latonglila Jamir, Dr Eliza, Dr P Rajesh, and Ashish Kumar were all present during the Yatra.
