Mokokchung, August 7 (MTNews): The 2015 batch of All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG) 2015 on Sunday informed that it would resume its agitation which was called off in 2018, if the department/government fail to regularize their services within the 30-day ultimatum period.
In the ultimatum served to the Principal Director of School Education on July 21 last, the ANATG-2015 Batch had demanded “immediate service regularization” of the Ad hoc teachers – 2015 batch within a period of one month (August 21) from the date of submission of the ultimatum letter, “Failing which the aggrieved teachers shall be constrained to resume the temporarily suspended agitation.”
ANATG said in a press release on Sunday that the 2015 Batch comprises of graduate teachers, primary teachers, drawing teachers and other vocational teachers appointed on Adhoc basis, against sanctioned posts from 1994 to 2012.
It said that as per the department’s norms for service regularization, the department suitability test, verification of documents and interviews were conducted by the Government/ department on May 20 and 22, 2017.
“However, even after the fulfillment of all the criteria, the matter of regularization was not considered which compelled the aggrieved ANATG 2015 batch to undertake pen down strike, district wise from May 16 to 18 2018, followed by mass casual leave from June 4 to 6, 2018 and finally hunger strike from June 29, 2018, which was unconditionally suspended,” the press release added.
It went on to say that despite several representations on the matter, “the issue at hand has not been attended till date, whereas it is in the knowledge of all concerned that the regularization process in other departments are being done.”
Meanwhile, the group also informed all the district units and general members under its fold to be prepared for whatsoever situation that may arise after the expiry of the ultimatum period.
