The ultimate college extravaganza, the All-Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) Collegiate Meet 2024, got underway at Livingstone Foundation International on October 29, 2024, under the theme ‘Enabling Potentialities.’ The five-day event is being organized by ANCSU from 29 October to 2 November 2024 in collaboration with 21 organizations as supporting partners, with Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Higher Education & Tourism, Government of Nagaland, as the Chief Host.

The introductory session, which was held at the LFI Green Lawn on 29 October 2024 was graced by a host of dignitaries, including Alemtemshi Jamir, IAS (Retd), former Chief Secretary of Nagaland, as the Introductory Guest, and Hokato Hotozhe Sema, Bronze Medallist of the Paris Paralympics 2024 from Nagaland, as the Honoured Guest.

The second day of the Collegiate Meet, which was held on October 30, 2024, began with the inaugural session of the meet, graced by Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and Chairman of IDAN, Government of Nagaland, as the Inaugural Guest. He was accompanied by an entourage of important dignitaries, including the Chairmen of various Public Sector Undertakings.

Some of the key highlights of the inaugural session included the Keynote Address by Tsukjem Lkr, Convenor of the Organizing Committee; the Presidential Address by Tenyesinlo Bukh, President of ANCSU; greetings by the Chairman of LFI, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema; and President of NSF, Medovi Rhi, as well as special presentations by Arms Incorporation and Akokla Langu, Winner of the ANCSU Virtual Solo Singing Competition 2021, and the Administration of Oath by Duve Tetse-o, Games & Sports Secretary, ANCSU.

In a first-of-its-kind event in the history of ANCSU Meets, the third day of the meet, held on October 31, 2024, witnessed the Inter-College Naga Wrestling Competition. The event was graced by Dr Bidyut Bikash Bhuyan, Managing Director of Arunima Group, as the Special Guest, and Vivolie Kezo, President of the Naga Wrestling Association, as the Honoured Guest. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Naga Wrestling Association. On the sidelines of the meet, a separate Knowledge Hub is also being organized, including Startup – Get a Head Start, Career Connect, and Empowerment through Knowledge. The five-day Collegiate Meet will culminate on November 2, 2024, with participation from 35 colleges across Nagaland out of the 39 affiliated with ANCSU. The event will witness exciting activities, including the Naga Wrestling Competition, Beat Contest, Knowledge Hub, Chess Championship, Football, Volleyball, and Badminton.
