The Angami Students’ Union has announced that the 24th edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy will be held at IG Stadium, Kohima from 7 to 28 September, 2024.

The month long tournament is organized in respect and honour of the two comrades Late Kekuojalie Sachü of Kohima Village and Late Vikhozo Yhoshü of Kigwema Village who were the victims in the indiscriminate firing of the Nagaland Armed Police from Alichen on 20 March, 1986 during a peaceful rally called by the Naga Students’ Federation to protest against the State Government’s decision on the extension of Disturbed Area Belt from 5 KM to 20 KM along the Indo-Myanmar border and against the induction of Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre into the state of Nagaland.

In addition to individual awards across various disciplines, the Organizing Committee is set to reward the tournament’s top teams with substantial cash prizes, trophies, and citations. These awards aim to recognize and celebrate the outstanding performances of the Champion, Runner-up, losing semifinalists, and quarterfinalists.
