Kohima, 22 August (MTNews): The ‘Anglo-Yimkhiung Dictionary,’ published by the Department of Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland, was officially released by Advisor Youth Resources & Sports, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung on 22 August. The release ceremony took place at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Art & Culture, Bayavu Hill, Kohima.
In his address, Advisor S. Keoshu Yimkhiung congratulated the Department of Art & Culture, faculty members of Nagaland University Language Department, and the Yimkhiung Literature Board for their dedicated efforts in successfully creating the Anglo-Yimkhiung Dictionary. He emphasized the historical significance of this achievement for the Yimkhiung community in the state.
Other dignitaries who spoke during the event included Athel O’ Lotha, IAS Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of Art & Culture, and Dr. Yanbeni, Assistant Professor at Nagaland University and Secretary of the Yimkhiung Literature Board. A special highlight of the program was a ‘Folk Tune’ performance by the Yimkhiung Cultural Group from Kohima. The event was chaired by Teisovikuolie Therie, Assistant Director of Art & Culture, and concluded with remarks by Adela Moa, Director of Art & Culture.
