Mokokchung, August 19 (MTNews): The Annual Süngkotenem Angling Festival organized by Mopungchuket Community Tourism Society got underway today at Süngkotenem Park, Mopungchuket.
The opening day was marked by the Biggest Catch competition where Sentinok of Mopungchuket was declared the winner for his catch weighing 3.15 Kgs. The second prize went to Nungshimar and third prize to Mosem while the fourth prize was shared by three winners Liso, Limamoa Imsong and Apok, all from Mokokchung town.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held on September 2, the last day of the angling festival. Winner of the Season’s Biggest Catch will also be given away on the last day, the winner of which is yet to be decided.
