The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit will observe its Raising Day cum Annual Picnic on November 18 at “My Resort” in Tzuza Eru, Pangti. The event, organized by the Sungro Range Taxi Owners and Drivers, aims to promote community bonding while promoting environmental responsibility.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, the unit will conduct a plastic-free picnic accompanied by a cleanup drive to remove plastic waste from the Tzuza Eru area. The cleanup will begin on November 17 and continue through the Raising Day celebrations on November 18. This initiative highlights ANTA Wokha Unit’s dedication to preserving the environment and supporting community welfare.
The festivities on November 18 will include a range of activities such as a lucky draw, traditional tug-of-war, live music, and more. Members and participants are encouraged to engage actively in these cultural and recreational events.
To ensure full participation, all taxi services under the ANTA Wokha Unit will be suspended for the day. The association regrets any inconvenience caused by this suspension. However, defaulters and absentees will face penalties in accordance with the unit’s established rules, ANTA Wokha Unit president T Renbemo Kikon and general secretary Lipenthung Ovung said in a press release.
