The Ao Naga community is all set to come together to celebrate the much-awaited Moatsü Festival from May 1 to May 3, 2025, with a special focus on the Moatsü Mini Hornbill. The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr Neiphiu Rio, has accepted the invitation to be the Chief Guest for the event on May 2, 2025. To mark his visit, a Civic Reception will be organized in his honor.

The Ao Senden has announced the formation of several sub-committees to ensure smooth and successful execution of the event. The sub-committees will oversee various crucial aspects of the festival, including ground maintenance, security, volunteers, media coordination, and cultural performances, among others.

The organizing committee for the event has appointed key officials and individuals to manage specific responsibilities.

Notable roles include:
· Arju/Pandal Committee: Led by Ao Senden Vice President Aowati, with members from Ao Senden, MMC, and AWUMT.
· Civic Reception: The district administration, alongside the organizing committee, will ensure a warm reception for CM Rio.
· Transportation and Logistics: A dedicated team, including Yanger Pongen and Aosanen Tongror Luden, will manage transportation and hospitality for the attendees.
· Security/Traffic: The district police and traffic personnel will ensure safety and smooth movement during the festival.

In addition to the regular festival events, there will be inter-ward competitions such as the traditional Tug of War and indigenous games. Cultural presentations from local troupes will also be a highlight, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.

A coordination meeting, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, will be convened soon to further streamline the distribution of tasks among various departments.
