The Ao Senden convened an emergency Sanen Luden meeting on December 9, 2024, in response to the controversial Facebook post by The Patriotic Nagas group, which it described as a grave insult to the Ao Naga community and its values. The meeting resulted in the passage of three key resolutions, addressing the incident and its broader implications.

The Ao Senden expressed its gratitude to the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan; DGP Nagaland Rupin Sharma IPS and his subordinate officers of Nagaland Police for arresting the individual responsible for the offensive post. The resolution also stated that the post insulted the Ao Naga community and Dr SC Jamir, and “defamed, insulted and outraged the modesty of Ao women.”

Terming the Facebook post as “a transgressive act against the Ao Naga traditional values which insulted the Ao Naga community to the core,” the Ao Senden resolved to pursue the matter to its “logical conclusion as per Ao Naga Custom, Usage, and Tradition with the perpetrator/s at Ao Senden Kilem.”

Further, the Ao Senden warned that if any Ao individual or group make any move by word or by deed against the apex body’s resolution, they will be punished befittingly as per Ao Naga Custom, Usage and Tradition at the Ao Senden Kilem.
