Mokokchung, 7 November (MTNews): In response to the consultative meeting held in Kohima convened by the Select Committee on the Nagaland Municipal Bill 2023 on November 6, 2023, and the decisions made in the meeting, the Ao Senden has expressed regrets that the Tribal Hohos were not invited. “The Ao Senden expresses its profound regret at the exclusion of the respective Tribal Hohos from the aforementioned gathering,” it said in a press release. The Ao Senden further raised concerns about the decisions made during the meeting, noting that it is regrettable that the tribal apex bodies present at the consultative meeting granted their assent without prior consultation with the respective Tribal Hohos they represent. Further, the Ao Senden reiterated its unwavering stance on the opinions it had expressed during the consultative meeting that took place on September 1, 2023.
