Mokokchung, November 22 (MTNews): The apex Ao Senden has on Tuesday in an open letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Nagaland has requested him to intervene to ensure that the amount of Rs.1.7 Cr that he had pledged for IMDH Mokokchung road maintenance is sanctioned/released immediately.

 

While appreciating the Chief Minister for pledging an amount of Rs. 1.7 Cr for IMDH Mokokchung road maintenance as announced by him in the floor of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, during the Twelfth Session of the 13th NLA on September 22, “and that the work would start as and when the working season arrives,” Ao Senden said that the pledged “amount has yet to be sanctioned/released while the dry season has already arrived and two long months have already lapsed since the announcement was made.”

 

“It is pertinent to note here that the people of Mokokchung are growing impatient and anxious while several organizations are already voicing out in deep concern,” Ao Senden said. “The said road is indeed in a really bad shape that needs immediate maintenance,” it added.
