The apex Ao Senden has issued a stern warning that any harm inflicted upon Ao citizens by any Naga national worker will result in the eviction of the perpetrator and the faction he belongs to from Ao territory. This decision follows the recent rape of a four-year-old girl by Moakaba Aier, a sergeant-major of the NSCN-K (Khango) and son of Late Thapa (Nepali) alias Karlijang Aier of Akumen village, at Saringyim village.

Further, the apex tribal body also stated that the Ao Senden Resolutions of 29 August 2003 are “revisited and reaffirmed to deal with any exigency that might arise.”

The Ao Senden also stated that it bitterly condemns the “heinous and animalistic” crime committed by Moakaba Aier, who, instead of working for the uplift of the nation and the people, has inflicted this reprehensible and devastating crime on an innocent child.

In view of the simmering anger of the people against such outrages committed by national workers, the Ao Senden stressed on maintaining peace, tranquility, order, and ensuring the safety of the people.
