Aoleang Monyu is the premier festival of the Konyak Nagas, generally celebrated from 1 – 6 April. Seen in the picture are guns deposited by each of the 167 Konyak villages to the Konyak Union to be displayed during the spring festival of Aoleang Monyu. Each village submitted a gun as ‘registration’ to the Konyak Union, all of which are locally made muzzleloaders. (MTNews)
