The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung has issued a public notice inviting applications from eligible male and female candidates of Mokokchung District for Two-Wheeler Taxi Permits. According to the notice, applicants must be unemployed indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland and residents of Mokokchung District. Interested candidates are required to submit the necessary documents as specified in the application form.
It was informed that those who had submitted applications earlier will need to reapply using the newly prescribed format. Application forms will be available at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Mokokchung starting from March 10, 2025. The last date for submission of the completed forms is March 25, 2025. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, and incomplete applications will be rejected without consideration.
After the scrutiny of documents, the list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the DC Office notice board. These candidates will then have to appear for a two-wheeler riding test and an interview.
As per the notification, an undertaking will be executed between the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and the permit holders in accordance with the Rules and Guidelines for Two-Wheeler Taxis in Nagaland. The Regional Transport Authority, Mokokchung, has been allocated a total of 75 permits.
