Nagaland-based guitarist and composer Arenlong has officially joined Strandberg Guitars as an endorsed artist, marking a significant milestone in his musical journey and bringing his association with the brand full circle.

Arenlong first caught the attention of Strandberg in 2020 after winning the Strandberg Guitar Contest in India. Six years later, that association has developed into a formal partnership, placing him among the brand’s international roster of artists.
Founded by Swedish luthier Ola Strandberg in 2012, Strandberg Guitars is known for its ergonomic, headless guitar designs and has gained recognition among progressive and fusion musicians. Artists such as Plini and Jordan Rudess have helped establish the brand as a prominent choice in progressive metal and instrumental guitar music.
Known for blending progressive rock and metal with intricate and melodic guitar work, Arenlong has developed a distinctive style as a guitarist and composer. His debut EP, Willow, released in 2022, reflects years of musical development across various genres and influences.
Arenlong has also earned recognition through several competitions. His achievements include winning the National Guitar Solo Contest in 2014, the Boss Guitar Maestro Contest in 2015 and the Best Guitarist award at the Hornbill International Rock Contest in 2013. In 2020, he was also among the winners of an international online guitar contest hosted by UK guitarist Jack Gardiner.
Beyond his solo work, Arenlong is featured on the NAMMA Music Artist Roster and has collaborated with Abhay Nayampally, J-Rod Sullivan and producer Sandeep Chowta on the EP Treekam.
Arenlong also acknowledged the role of India’s growing boutique-gear retail industry in supporting his journey. Mumbai-based The Stockist, which stocks Strandberg alongside premium brands including Taylor, Suhr and Mayones, has supported access to high-end and specialised musical equipment for Indian musicians.
With headless guitars and boutique gear still relatively uncommon in India, retailers such as The Stockist are helping connect Indian musicians with the global musical equipment market through specialised inventory, technical expertise and artist relationships.
Alongside Strandberg, Arenlong also endorses Hotone Audio and SIT Strings, brands whose equipment he uses on stage and in the studio.
With the Strandberg endorsement now official, Arenlong enters a new phase of his musical career, with further releases and performances expected to showcase his distinctive sound.
