Assam Rifles organized a firefighting lecture and live demonstration for the residents of Pungro, Kiphire District, Nagaland on 7 November 2024. A large number of enthusiastic locals gathered for this important event, which was designed to enhance fire safety awareness and provide practical training on emergency response, according to a report.
The event featured live demonstrations by Assam Rifles personnel on handling fire outbreaks in scenarios including wooden house fires and oil tank fires, equipping the community with a realistic understanding of fire risks. Assam Rifles also provided hands-on training to local attendees, guiding them on the proper use of fire-fighting equipment and boosting their confidence in dealing with potential fire hazards.
Nagaland Police and Nagaland Armed Police officials attended the event, underscoring the strong cooperation between Assam Rifles and state security forces in building a safer environment. The local community expressed heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for their continuous support, recognizing them as true friends of the Northeast.
