Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Mangkolemba Block under Mokokchung District conducted a training and capacity building program at Milak, Khar, and Mangkolemba Town on 10 and 11 April 2025.


The training, conducted on the topic Integrated Farming Systems at Milak and Khar, was led by resource person Limawapangla Longkumer, BTM, ATMA, Mangkolemba Block. She encouraged farmers to adopt the integrated farming system, which aims to achieve economic and sustainable agricultural production. Topics such as crop-livestock integration, soil health management, and the advantages of adopting integrated farming systems were discussed. Altogether, 15 farmers attended the training programme. Kharif seeds and coco-peat were distributed to the farmers.

Another demonstration program on cultivation practices of chilli for the Seven Sisters Food Security Group (FSG) was conducted at Mangkolemba Town by resource person Shilunokdang Jamir, ATM, ATMA, Mangkolemba Block. He highlighted the importance of proper plant spacing and weed management. Altogether, 7 farmers attended the demonstration program. Seedling trays, coco-peat, kharif seeds, soybean, NPK, and HQPM maize were distributed to the farmers.
