Tuli, January 28 (MTNews): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tuli Block, Mokokchung conducted a hands-on demonstration on oyster mushroom cultivation and performance of chili var. Aviva 1816 on January 27 at Tuli town and Aopenzu village.
The resource persons for the demonstration were Imlisunep Ajem, BTM; Imlipokim Pongener, ATM; and Lanusanen, ATM, ATMA, Tuli Block.
Resource person Imlipokim Pongener deliberated on the benefits of mushroom cultivation and its contribution in elevating the economic status. He detailed the raw materials and equipment required for cultivation and precautionary measures a cultivator should follow during the process. He further demonstrated step wise cultivation procedures to the farmers.
Further, Lanusanen, ATM gave a demonstration on the performance of chili var. Aviva 1816 under which he demonstrated nursery bed preparation and its management. He also deliberated on field preparation, transplanting, spacing, manures and fertilizers.
Altogether 22 farmers attended during the activities conducted.
