Ngayaipam A Shimray, Young Professional from NITI Aayog, conducted an official visit to Atoizu as part of the Government of India’s Aspirational Block Programme for Akhuaito Block in Zunheboto District. The event was jointly organized by MLA Er Picto Shohe (32 A/C Atoizu) and the Zunheboto District Administration, and chaired by Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P, NCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Atoizu and Nodal Officer for the Aspirational Block Program.
Ngayaipam A Shimray delivered the keynote address and led an interactive discussion with representatives from various departments. Presentations highlighted sectoral initiatives from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, District Programme Officer of Social Welfare, Subdivision Education Officer, Executive Engineers from PHED and PWD (R&B), District Representative and BPM of NSRLM Akuhaito, and officials from Agriculture, Veterinary, and Soil Conservation departments.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr Gihuka Chishi, Medical Officer at Atoizu PHC, and a benediction by Khetoi Chophi, Pastor of NCRC, Atoizu Town.
Ahead of the event, Shimray and the team conducted extensive field visits over two days, inspecting offices, government institutions, health centres, and schools across the Atoizu Sub-division. These ground-level interactions provided critical insights into the region’s progress and challenges under the Aspirational Block framework, aiming to accelerate development and improve public services in the area.
