Auto Gallery FC Dimapur defeated Kuki Golgnai FC to lift the 2nd Autumn Cup, an open football tournament for 35+, organized by the Chumoukedima Football Referee Board. On a sunny afternoon, the final witnessed a competitive game of football, with both teams battling for midfield control with sharp passes and a fast-paced game. The first half saw tough challenges and attacks from both sides, but no goals were scored.


The breakthrough came in the second half when substitute Chuba Temjen of Auto Gallery was brought down in the danger zone. A cool finish from Chuba Temjen gave Auto Gallery the lead in the 53rd minute. The game was sealed when the super-sub Chuba Temjen broke the offside trap of KGFC and rattled the net again in the 60th minute. KGFC missed a golden opportunity in the final minute of the match when three forwards failed to tap the ball into the opponent’s net.

Final Score: 2-0 in favor of Auto Gallery Dimapur.

Earlier in the afternoon, Mr. Neidilhoutuo Neibu Sechü, Vice President of the Kohima District Football Association & General Secretary of the Angami Youth Organization, graced the final as the Guest of Honor. He appreciated the role of the CDFRB in organizing a platform for 35+ players and encouraged the board to continue safeguarding the beautiful game. He also expressed his concerns about the state’s sports scenario, which has yet to produce any Olympians since Dr. T. Ao and Chakruvolu. Sincerity and dedication in any discipline are essential to achieving one’s goals and dreams, he added.
