The Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM), founded in 2005, has been upgraded to an association, now known as the Assam Valley Baptist Association (AVBA), on its 19th Foundation Day on 31 July 2024.
During a ceremonial Foundation Day program held today at its Nakachari HQ, the president of AVBA officially declared AVBM as a fully-fledged Baptist Churches Association.
Miss Rachel Jamir, Associate Pastor of Women’s Ministry at Kumlong Baptist Church, delivered the theme message, “With God, everything is possible.” Mr Kikum Longkumer, Pastor, and Mr. Chubatoshi, Deacon, both from Kumlong Baptist Church, delivered exhortations and short speeches, respectively. Aamong Phukan, Youth Counselor for AVBA, chaired the program, and Mr Huni Gogoi, Evangelist for AVBA, welcomed the congregation.
A total of 207 delegates from 32 churches attended the program.
