Mokokchung, June 21 (MTNews): KVK Mokokchung organized a training programme on 21st June at KVK Conference Hall on the topic Awareness on Balanced Use of Fertilizers and Awareness on Region Specific Agroforestry under Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav.
The first topic on Agroforestry, types of agroforestry, and tree species suitable for agroforestry in the region was deliberated by ACTO (Agronomy), Imtisenla while the second topic on the awareness of balanced use of fertilizers was delivered by ACTO (Soil Conservation), Imtilemla, which was followed by a short film show on Soil Fertility Management – Manures and Fertilizers. Altogether 49 participants attended the programme.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Sarendi Walling (ACTO), Animal Science, while keynote address on Natural Farming was given by Senior Scientist & Head, Dr. Keviletsu Khate.
