Kohima, 9 August (MTNews): Model Christian College, Kohima organized an awareness program on Mission LiFE under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP). Y Hanpong Konyak, Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB, and Miss Rongsenben Longkumer, Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB, served as the resource persons for the day.

Y Hanpong Konyak spoke about the National Clean Air Program (NCAP), highlighting the sources, causes, and effects of air pollution. Miss Rongsenben Longkumer spoke about “Mission LiFE,” stating that it is a global-led movement launched in 2023 that focuses on lifestyle. She stressed the importance of saving energy, water, waste segregation, and the immediate need to focus on the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The college took a pledge to contribute towards a cleaner environment and be agents of change.

 

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Olivi G Chophy, Senior Scientific Assistant, NPCB. Posters and notepads were distributed by the NPCB team.
