The Business Association of  Nagas (BAN) and Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd. (AICIL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during BAN’s 13th Annual General Meeting held at E-Space, Nagaland, on June 18.

According to a press release issued by BAN, the partnership aims to foster collaboration in expanding insurance awareness and outreach across Nagaland, particularly in the agriculture and allied sectors.

BAN stated that the collaboration is expected to strengthen risk mitigation mechanisms for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs, while contributing to greater economic resilience, improved financial security and increased financial inclusion in the state.

The AGM brought together members, stakeholders and representatives from various institutions to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening Naga entrepreneurship and promoting sustainable business growth.

During the meeting, members deliberated on issues relating to entrepreneurial opportunities and support systems for Naga entrepreneurs across the state.

The program also featured presentations and interactions with representatives from various government agencies and institutions, who shared information on schemes and opportunities available to entrepreneurs.
