Ashish Bhowmick, who was appointed as Chief Curator of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2019, visited the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima today. The purpose of his visit was to supervise the preparation of the grounds for the upcoming BCCI matches to be hosted by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).
Bhowmick conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities and grounds to ensure they meet the stringent standards required for BCCI events. The NCA is set to host eight BCCI matches for the domestic season 2024-25, which will be held at two key venues: the Nagaland Cricket Stadium and Sovima Cricket Ground.
“This visit highlights the significant progress in cricket infrastructure in Nagaland and reaffirms the NCA’s commitment to providing world-class facilities for players and fans. The inclusion of Nagaland as a host for these prestigious matches is a landmark development for cricket in the region,” a statement received here said.
