The Skill Development Committee of Dimapur Government College, under the aegis of the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, inaugurated a Beautician Crash Course on August 26, 2025, at the college campus. The program, sponsored by the Department of Higher Education, aims to equip students with practical skills in cosmetology.

The inaugural event, held at 2:30 p.m. in Room No. 18 of the Arts Block, was chaired by Ms. Taba Yasi, Assistant Professor of the Hindi department. She delivered the welcome address, after which Dr Maongkala Longchar introduced the course to the gathering.

Hukali Avito Swu, a well-known makeup artist and trainer, was the resource person of the programme. In her address, she shared insights into the profession and encouraged students to explore opportunities in the field of beauty and wellness.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Elizabeth Chongloi, a first-semester B.A. Psychology student, who acknowledged the efforts of organizers and contributors. Refreshments were served following the formal session.
