Bendangienla crowned Miss Mokokchung 2025; Temsulila Longkumer and Putusenla Aier named runners-up

Nineteen-year-old Bendangienla was crowned Miss Mokokchung 2025 at a glittering ceremony held at Town Hall, Mokokchung, on Tuesday evening. In addition to the coveted crown, she also bagged the Miss Beautiful Smile subtitle.

Newly crowned Miss Mokokchung 2025, Bendangienla, flanked by first runner-up Temsulila Longkumer and second runner-up Putusenla Aier.

Temsulila Longkumer was declared the first runners-up, while 22-year-old Putusenla Aier secured the position of second runners-up.

The prestigious pageant was judged by a distinguished panel comprising Chanchui Khayi (Femina Miss India Manipur 2024), Akshatha Das (Femina Miss India Kerala 2024), Shyamanga Kashyap, Mele Pucho, Imlibenla Wati Nienu, and Asola Ozukum.

Organized by Forerunners Mokokchung under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Art & Culture Council (MDACC), the show was directed by Neitho Khamo, co-founder of Talent Foresight, which also served as the grooming partner for the event.

As part of the competition, the contestants wore cocktail dresses designed by Manen Jamir, a well-known designer from Mokokchung, and graced the stage in evening wear designed by Hmingmawii, a fashion designer based in Meghalaya, adding style and elegance to the evening segments.

The night also featured captivating performances by prominent artists such as Moko Koza, Tiameren Aier, and several others.

A highlight of the event was a tribute runway featuring former Miss Mokokchung winners since 1992, many of whom also went on to win Miss Nagaland titles. The lineup included Tiarenla Jamir, Sashinungla Nathan, Akumnaro Imsong, Imsulemla Aier, Jemtisungla Jamir, Ayusang Jamir, and Jentiren Jamir. The segment paid homage to the legacy and growth of the pageant over the decades.

Adding to the emotional note of the night, Femina Miss India Nagaland 2024, Jentiren Jamir, took her final walk, marking the end of her reigning year.

A number of subtitle awards were also announced:

· Miss Beautiful Skin – Temsulila Longkumer
· Miss Congeniality – Putusenla Aier
· Miss Talented – Sentikala
· Miss Photogenic – Imnasenla
· Best Ramp Walk – Alemlila
· Miss Beautiful Hair – Putibenla T. Pongen
· Miss Perfect Ten – Putusenla Aier
· Queen of Hearts – Temsulila Longkumer
