Former NDPP leaders inducted to party fold
Mokokchung, July 30 (MTNews): The Bharatiya Janata Party, Mokokchung District, celebrated Tsüngremmung festival at its office complex on Saturday which was attended by ‘karyakartas’ from all over the district. “The day was made more significant as prominent political leaders, who served in different parties, were formally introduced to the party karyakartas,” an update from the party’s media cell informed.
Though Tsüngremmung is usually celebratedon August 1-3, it was informed that the BJP Mokokchung District decided to celebrate it on July 30, given the hectic political activities and”to facilitate the karyakartas to attend the main functions to be August 1-3, 2022 in different parts of the district and state,” the update said.
The main highlight of the program was a ‘Tsüngremmung Ratet’ (significance of Tsüngremmung) which was delivered by Guru Sangyusang of Ungma village. State Council Member, BJP Mokokchung, Imnaonen Pongen, while speaking at the program, challenged the gathering to be united and continue to work for the welfare of the people and the party in general.
He urged the ‘karyakartas’ not to be swayed away by the political developments in the state, “but to repose, recommit and stay strong with deep faith in our BJP leadership led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Naddaji.”
He also welcomed the leaders from NDPP who were formally introduced to the party at the event and said that their “experience and political wisdom” will take the BJP of Mokokchung to greater heights in the days to come.
Former NDPP Vice-president Lipokyanger, who is also a former president of BJP Mokokchung, also exhorted the gathering.
“The newest members from the NDPP were also presented the official BJP scarf as a symbol of their induction into the Bharatiya Janata Party,” the update said.
The program was conducted by BJP Mokokchung District general secretary T. Temsu Imchen while BJP district executive member Odibendang invoked God’s blessings. The Tsüngremmung program was fully sponsored by the State Council Members of BJP Mokokchung District, it said.
