Mokokchung, December 20 (MTNews): The BJP Mokokchung District observed an advent Christmas program at the BJP District Office here today with ex-minister and in-charge of BJP Mokokchung district, Nuklutoshi Longkumer as the special guest.
It was a blessed day for the BJP as karyakartas from the different mandals under Mokokchung district converged and celebrated the birth of Christ, the party said in a press release.
The special guest, Nuklutoshi Longkumer, while extending Christmas greetings, encouraged the karyakartas to be united and prepared. He said that the Naga people yearn for a solution, and added that the BJP Mokokchung district should also work towards that end. However, he encouraged all the rank and file to be prepared if an election should come.
The program was chaired by BJP district Secretary Imtichizung while District Vice President L Yanger Lemtur led the ‘prayer and bible reading’ session.
Christmas greetings was delivered by District Vice President I. Lanutoshi Longkumer.
Short speeches were delivered by Arenla (Vice President, Mahila Morcha); Tiayanger Jamir (President, Kisan Morcha); S Bendang Aier (Secretary BJP Nagaland, State Unit); and M Along Longchar (General Secretary, ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung).
