The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state unit has expressed confidence that the Central Government will soon bring an amicable solution to the long-standing Eastern Naga People’s Organization (ENPO) issue.

BJP Nagaland President Benjamin Yepthomi affirmed that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government is “committed to bringing an amicable solution to the decade-old issue.” Yepthomi expressed his belief that a resolution to the matter is imminent and will be achieved under the current leadership.

In addition to addressing the ENPO issue, Yepthomi announced that the party’s state leadership would launch a membership drive across Nagaland starting on September 2. This initiative aims to “connect directly with people and ensure transparent, genuine participation,” he stated.

As part of the state-wide tour, the BJP plans to highlight various initiatives undertaken by the NDA government.

“Our focus is on raising awareness about these achievements and inviting people to join us in our country’s journey towards Viksit Bharat,” Yepthomi added.

The membership drive is seen as a significant step in strengthening the party’s presence and engagement with the people of Nagaland.
