Kohima, 22 September (MTNews): A Blood Donation and Awareness Program was organized by RRC, NCC and NSS of Model Christian College in collaboration with Voluntary Blood Donors Association Kohima, Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland Branch, and Blood Bank Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima. The event was held under Ayushman Bhavah Abhiyan Seva Pakhwada campaign.
Dr Avila MO, BB, NHAK spoke on the importance of blood donation stating that with the surge in different cases of diseases Nagaland needs voluntary blood donors and encouraged the students to come forward to save lives.
Origin of Red Cross Society and Red Cross Movement in Nagaland was presented by IRCS, Nagaland branch.
Changsonla of BSc 5th Semester (NSS member) delivered the vote of thanks. The blood donation drive was a huge success. A total of 11 donors volunteered to donate their blood.
