Addressing the gathering, Advisor Mannen called for a ‘realistic and united strategy’ for a collective solution to address the uplift of Noklak as a whole since both elected MLAs from Noklak district are temporarily deprived of a ministerial berth or portfolio, given the present political arrangement, though they are also part of the oppositionless government under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio.

With an international trade center already established in Noklak bordering Myanmar, Mannen underscored the geographic value of the frontier district and its economic potential. He also encouraged the public of Noklak to inculcate work culture, citing the famed handlooms and handicrafts of Noklak as an example—considered one of the finest in the entire state—explaining how its indigenous originality can be preserved and exported internationally.

Stressing the unity of Nagas as a race, the advisor pointed out that the Nagas, as a whole, are a small community and should guard this unity and oneness while pursuing common policies and interests, be it issues concerning ENPO, NTC, CNTC, or any other organizations.

Regarding the suspension of the FMR along the Indo-Myanmar Border, Mannen stated that it is a controversial political issue that needs to be addressed tactfully by both the Indian and Myanmar governments.

The advisor also shared his optimism that the people of Noklak will give a resounding mandate in favor of the candidate fielded under the dynamic leadership of Neiphiu Rio in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for later this year. He also asked the party officials to gear up and be ready for the tasks ahead. He extended his concern and gave his commitment to address the need for the NDPP Noklak Region office at the earliest, as discussed in the consultative meeting.

Earlier, the event was chaired by C Pushou, President Agri & Allied, and the invocation was performed by NL Pusha. The welcome address was delivered by P Pheem Shiu, President Noklak Region, and the exhortation was given by Shingnyo, V/P NDPP Nagaland & Noklak Region I/C, S Heno, Former MLA, CEC 57 Thonoknyu A/C, Tali President AGRI & Allied, President CYO, General Secretary NDPP MokokchungRegion.
