Members of the Brazil national football team arrived in Kolkata on Thursday evening ahead of their FIFA international friendly against India at Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.
The five-time FIFA World Cup champions landed at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on a chartered flight before heading to their hotel.
Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior is among the headline names in the Brazilian squad, alongside Endrick, Gabriel Magalhães, Marquinhos and Bruno Guimarães.
Brazil will be without Raphinha, who withdrew from the squad after suffering an injury setback during the team’s previous outing in Australia.
India, meanwhile, will be led by head coach Khalid Jamil, with goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu as captain. Jamil named a 26-player squad for the September-October FIFA international window, which includes friendlies against Panama, Brazil and Uruguay.
The match will be the first senior men’s international meeting between India and Brazil.
