C-Edge College marked its 13th Freshers Week, culminating in a grand event on July 18 at the GK Auditorium, welcoming new students into its vibrant community. The week-long celebration, which began on July 14, concluded with enthusiasm, highlighted by a ceremony featuring Temjenkala Aier, CEO of Eagle Crest Training Academy & Consultancy, as the guest speaker.
The program commenced with an invocation prayer by Kuvekhrie, a BBA III Semester student, followed by a warm welcome address from Er. Moa Aier, President of CEC. The college choir captivated attendees with a performance of the college song, Believe In Him. In her keynote address, Aier urged students to prioritize mental well-being, engage in extracurricular activities, and maintain mindful social media use. She emphasized the value of every job, stating, “no job is too small to make a difference.”
The event featured the college awards, presented by Wapanginla Ao, Dean of Management Studies. Best Star Attendance awards were conferred to Kaophen C Phom and Chongmei C Phom (BA II), Tokatoli K Yepthomi (BA IV), K Huka Aye (BA VI), Imnamongla (BBA II), Onentsung (BBA IV), and Tansola (BBA VI). University Gold Medalist Thejasikho Vakha (BBA) received Rs. 10,000, while Merenkala Ajem, recipient of the Tsuno Girl Topper Award, was awarded Rs. 5,000.
Freshmen were addressed by Solunto Y (BA I), with seniors represented by Khrozo-u Kafo (BA V). The top 10 finalists, selected after rigorous grooming, showcased a spotlight walk. Seema Debnath, Assistant Professor, moderated the title announcements. Wewude Tsusha and Christina Sumi were crowned Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2025, with Benjongninsang and Ayetoli V Aye as runners-up. Subtitles included Mr. and Ms. Talented (Benjongninsang and Waku-u Lashu) and Mr. and Ms. Ethnic (Wewude Tsusha and Bendangjungla Imsong).
A musical performance by Zhovelu and friends enthralled the audience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Imnatenjen Ozukum, Assistant GS, CECSF.
