C-Edge College celebrated its 11th Commencement Day on April 25, 2025, at the GK Auditorium, marking a memorable milestone for the outgoing Class of 2025. The ceremony began with a solemn Procession of the graduates, symbolizing their transition from student life to the next phase of their journey.  Mughakhi Zhimo, Youth Pastor and Counsellor of Sumi Baptist Church, Diphupar, led the gathering in a prayer, seeking blessings for the graduates.

In his Opening Address, Er. Moa Aier, President of C-Edge College, warmly welcomed the guests, parents, and students. Reflecting on the college’s growth, he stressed the importance of character, resilience, and the spirit of lifelong learning. Mr. Obed Patton, Student Advisor, then led the Pledge of Allegiance, reaffirming the students’ commitment to the values upheld by the institution.

The announcement of College Awards, presided over by Principal Dr. Chubatola Aier, recognized students for academic excellence, leadership, and contributions to campus life. Special awards such as the Laurel Award for academic excellence were presented to Ikato, Zuthoto Phesa-o, Thejavikho Miari, Hoto I Assumi, Nikhuli Achumi, and Thejasikho Vakha. The Balakrishnan Ramanathan Award for EVS toppers went to Yiutsula Yim and Hoto I Assumi, while the Champion Star Attendance Awards were claimed by Chubanungsang Imsong and Tolika Aye for their outstanding attendance records.

Thejasikho Vakha was celebrated as the NUVBC, EU Student of the Year and also received the SPEAR Prize for overall achievement, while Kivinoli S Aye was recognized as the Library Best User. Student speakers Neinguzo Khezhie, Thejasikho Vakha, and Vinika shared heartfelt reflections on their college journeys, the lessons they learned, and the friendships they forged.

The highlight of the event was the Commencement Speech by Lezo Putsure, CEO of Educentre, who inspired the students by speaking about the value of showing up, learning from every opportunity, and maintaining lifelong curiosity. He emphasized the profound impact of choosing the right circle of friends.

The programme concluded with the College Choir’s rendition of “Believe in Him” and the Roll of Honour conducted by Meyatemsu Longkumer. The day ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Yajennaro, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology.
