Capital College of Higher Education (CCHE) began its 3-day annual college fest under the theme “Trifecta” at Sahitya Sabha Hall, PR Hill, Kohima, on 3 October, with Vezuhu Keyho, Chairman of the Governing Body of CCHE, as the Special Guest. The inaugural session was chaired by Wangshimongla, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, with the prayer led by Tatongkala L Lohe, Dean of Students, CCHE, marking the commencement of the college fest. The inaugural address was delivered by Vevohu Kezo, Vice Principal of CCHE, and the Special Guest, Keyho, gave an exhortation to the students.

Thejoto moderating the debate competition

On the first day of the fest, events such as a choral competition on the college anthem, screenings of short films, monologues, debates, extempore speeches, poetry recitations, essay writing, photography, painting, and translation contests were held. In the debate competition, Thejoto Nienu, a journalist with Eastern Mirror, served as the moderator and also shared his insights on the debate topic: “Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) a Blessing or a Curse?”

The 3-day college fest, which commenced on 3 October, will continue until 5 October 2024.
