Mokokchung, 20 March (MTNews): Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung organized a career guidance and counseling program on 20 March at the college auditorium with resource person and counsellors from Imperial Academy, Dimapur and Kohima. The program was organized by the Career Counselling Cell, FAC.
Sachin Barwal, Academy Head of Imperial IAS Academy and ex-faculty of Adda 247, UPSC Guide, IAS and Network, who was the resource person, spoke on the topic “Career in civil services.” In his talk, he enlightened the students about the various civil services exams in the country focusing on UPSC and NPSC.
He explained to the students why an individual should choose civil services as a career stating that civil services exposes an individual to various diverse cultures and societies and also gives the individual responsibility at a young age along with direct social services.
He guided the students through a detailed explanation on the pattern of various civil services exams and how an individual should prepare. He also provided the students with various sources through which the students can obtain resources and materials to prepare for the exams.
After the talk, a counselling session with the students was carried out where Amongba, Senti Jamir and Zuchamo from Imperial Academy Dimapur and Kohima were the counsellors. The BA and B.Ss 6th semester students of FAC attended the program.
