A Career Guidance Talk focusing on medical and engineering careers was held at the NITI Dimapur Centre auditorium on January 4, 2025. Er. Rishav Sethi, an alumnus of Delhi Technological University and a prominent resource person in Nagaland, led the session. Known for developing mobile apps for blood donors and the Hornbill Festival, Sethi has guided students across schools, colleges, and organizations in the state.
Addressing the students, Sethi emphasized the importance of setting clear goals and managing time effectively to succeed in national-level competitive exams like NEET and JEE. He encouraged attendees to strive for excellence in their first attempt to avoid regrets later.
Sethi also discussed strategies for phased preparation, stress management, and financial planning, urging students to adhere to a structured study schedule. Highlighting the intense competition for limited seats in premier government colleges, he reminded students of Nagaland’s Scheduled Tribe benefits, encouraging them to leverage this advantage through focused study.
The NITI Centre, known for its comprehensive coaching programs for students in Classes IX to XII and crash courses for repeaters, provides personalized attention and resources to help students excel. With experienced IIT alumni as faculty, the center equips students to face the rigor of competitive exams.
