The Chümoukedima Ao Senso Telongjem (CAST) has condemned what it called “malicious and defamatory attack” on Dr SC Jamir by NSCN (IM).
“At this critical juncture of Naga political scenario when the entire Naga populace wait upon with high hope for a just and lasting solution, the attempt of NSCN (IM) to suppress the voice and opinion of an upright and highly respected Naga leader like Jamir is extremely condemnable,” CAST President, N Pangjung Jamir and General Secretary, Bendangakum Imsong stated in a press release.
CAST added, “The Naga cause belongs to all Nagas and as such every Naga has a right to voice his/her opinion. Instead of suppressing voices/opinions that are contradictory to their own, NSCN (IM) leadership would do well to take the opinions of all and work towards a solution that is acceptable to all Nagas.”
Further, CAST has reiterated the call of Ao Senden to stop the “blame game” and to make public the competencies of the Framework Agreement without any further delay.
