Nagaland CAWD Advisor Kudecho Khamo with officials during his inspection of the ongoing Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex in Wokha.

The inspection team included CAWD Assistant Chief Engineer Ketousielie Kenguruse, along with district officials and contractors.

In Tseminyu, the team inspected the new Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) Office Complex and flat-type quarters in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Japheth Woch and other officials.

Funded under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme and state funding, the DC Office Complex is a ground-plus-two reinforced cement concrete (RCC) building featuring a 150-seat conference hall, accessibility provisions for persons with disabilities and an elevator.

Kenguruse expressed optimism that the project would be completed soon, while the contractor stated that most major components had been completed and assured that the remaining work would be finished within six to eight months. Khamo expressed satisfaction with the progress and workmanship, observing that the project could be completed within six months at the current pace.

In Wokha, the team inspected the new DC Office Complex in the presence of Deputy Commissioner K. Mhathung Tsanglao and other officials. Designed as a ground-plus-one structure with two basement floors, the complex is intended to accommodate multiple administrative departments under one roof to improve administrative efficiency and public service delivery.

Kenguruse said the RCC work, brickwork and roofing had been completed. Khamo commended the progress and workmanship and expressed confidence in the completion of the project.

The team later inspected flat-type officers’ quarters, including a Type-C quarter, in Mokokchung town before visiting the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex at Longkhim under Tuensang district.

During the tour, Khamo said the government was undertaking development projects across Nagaland despite limited financial resources. He acknowledged Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s leadership in pursuing development in the state.

Describing administrative officers as pillars of the government, Khamo urged them to ensure that welfare schemes reached beneficiaries, particularly those in the last mile. He also called for public support and collective efforts to translate the government’s development initiatives into tangible benefits for the people.
