The Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) today hosted the first edition of the Smash Fellowship badminton tournament at the Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kohima.
Organizing Committee member Vechiso said the tournament aimed to bring church members together for good health and foster camaraderie. CBCK Church Council President Neposo Theluo declared the event open and later presented prizes to the winners. Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh invoked God’s blessings before the tournament began.
In the 40+ category, champions were Muzivo Khamo and Kewetso Kenye, with Khrupu Lea and Mosonyi Movi as runners-up. In the 50+ category, Vethihu Kezo and Ruyosuyi D Vadeo won, followed by Vechiso and Vetsuto Nyekha. In 60+, Sachopra Vero and Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh claimed the title, with Vekhozo Khamo and John Lohe finishing second.
