Kohima, 2 July (MTNews): The ‘youth week’, organized by the Youth Department of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) under the theme ‘examine your faith’ concluded on Sunday coinciding with the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council’s ‘youth day of prayer’ at the CBCMHK in Kohima.
Speaking on the theme, associate pastor of CBCMHK, Asüne Swüro, said that believers are to inspect closely whether they are living in faith and examine their motives, actions, and current condition of their heart. Believers should avoid things that their faith does not approve of and take care of the spiritual health which is very important.
Youth Director of CBCMHK, Rakodu Nukhu, while delivering message in the afternoon devotional service, challenged the youth members to examine the covenant that they have had with the Lord in their life.
Earlier, senior pastor of CBCMHK and pastor in charge of youth, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao led the congregation into the prayer for youths.
About 250 youth members participated in the youth week, which commenced on 27 July. The weeklong event witnessed wide varieties of activities and competitions with band performance as culmination of competitions. All the six youth groups- Bethlehem, Beersheba, Bethel, Bethabara, Bethany, and Bethesda actively took part in the activities.
Some of the upcoming events of the youth department includes prayer and fasting programme, ladies service, youth marathon, youth revival, and sports fellowship. Over 600 youth members have been enrolled under the youth department so far.
