The Chümoukedima District Badminton Association (CDBA) successfully organized its 2nd Inter-School Badminton Tournament from July 4 to 5 at the Tetso Arena, Tetso College.
The event saw an enthusiastic turnout, with 24 schools and 383 participants competing across various age categories.
The tournament was graced by Er. Hotovi Ayemi, Vice President of the Nagaland Badminton Association, retired Chief Engineer, and current member of the NSSB, Government of Nagaland, as the Special Guest.
In his address, Er. Ayemi shared valuable experiences and encouraged all young players to strive for their best on the court.
Amit Kumar, Chief Manager of UCO Bank’s Jorhat Zonal Office, attended as the Guest of Honour.
Kumar reiterated UCO Bank’s commitment to supporting youth initiatives, stating, “UCO Bank is always happy to partner in activities that encourage the youth and is present to support such endeavors.”
The closing ceremony featured a prayer by Rev. Dr. Toniho Kiho, Pastor of Chekiye Village Baptist Church, and was attended by Seyievizo, Secretary of the Nagaland Badminton Association.
Kvulo Lorin, Vice President of CDBA, delivered the welcome address while Er. Khuvoyi Vese, General Secretary of CDBA, proposed the vote of thanks.
The event was compered by Lungsi Zeliang and Rongsen Ozukum, with Imtilong Lonkumer serving as the Chief Referee.
Rincho Academy emerged as the overall champion of the tournament.
