A GST Outreach program was conducted in Mokokchung at the Whispering Winds Hotel on 8 August 2025 by the Central GST Commissionerate. The programme was also attended by the State Taxes Department officials.
The Outreach program was chaired by Jayavelu, Assistant Commissioner CGST and involved interaction of tax officials with the members of Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries led by President Shri Tsukti Jamir as well as some of the major taxpayers, traders, tax consultants and business owners from the Mokokchung area.
After Dimapur, Kohima and Chumoukedima districts, Mokokchung district has the next highest number of GST taxpayers. The programme was conducted to offer practical guidance to enhance voluntary compliance.
Limanochet Superintendent CGST Mokokchung Range and V Khawbung Superintendent were also present. The outreach program witnessed active participation of local taxpayers, tax consultants and business owners. CGST Dimapur Commissionerate has been conducting such outreach programs on a regular basis for the benefit of local taxpayers and the business community.
