The 1st Open Tsngremmung Futsal Tournament organized by Changtongya Kaketshir Telungjem (CKT) at Changtongya Town Local Ground on 1–2 August 2024 concluded successfully on Friday. A total of 20 teams participated in the tournament, which kicked off on Thursday with C Wangan, NCS, SDO (Civil), Changtongya, as the special guest.
President of the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Lanutoshi Aier, graced the closing function on Friday. In his brief speech, Aier appreciated CKT for organizing the futsal tournament, acknowledging that Changtongya is known for volleyball. He encouraged the players to play harder while commending them for their sporting enthusiasm.
United Brothers Tuli (B) emerged as the champions of the tournament, while Chuchuba Team (A) settled for the runners-up position. The champions and the runners-up were awarded Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, along with certificates.
Individual honors were also awarded, with Thejasavo (Brother’s United Tuli B) winning the Player of the Tournament award. Tajungsang (Dejavu FC) was awarded the Most Promising Player award, while Imnasunep (Brother’s United Tuli B) and Baben (Chuchuba Team A) were awarded the Best Goalkeeper and Highest Goal Scorer awards respectively.
