The Chekiye Village Council has announced that it will be conducting a registration drive for non-Nagas residing in the village. This registration is scheduled to take place on September 13 and 14, 2024, at the village Council Hall.
All non-Nagas aged 18 years and above are required to register by presenting the necessary documents. The Council has emphasized that no non-Naga will be allowed to reside within the jurisdiction of Chekiye Village without completing this registration and obtaining a valid Identity Card.
Furthermore, houses and landowners are mandated to ensure that their Non-Naga tenants register and secure an ID card from the Village Council Office. Failure to comply with this directive will result in penalties for the property owners, who will be held responsible for any violations of this order.
